Background
David's practice focuses on business immigration and China-US cross-border advisory. David has represented multinational companies, foreign investors, and extraordinary individuals in their U.S. immigration matters. He also has experience with real estate transactions, class action litigation, and cross-border business transactions.
David’s deep knowledge of Chinese governmental policy and legal frameworks has been integral for clients faced with complex cross-border issues. For nearly twenty years, he served as a judge with the Provincial Higher Courts in the People’s Republic of China and as the Vice Director of the court’s law and policy research department. During his tenure, he oversaw the adjudication of a broad range of complex litigation matters involving real estate development, commercial transactions, and labor and employment. David later served as the Chief Legal Officer of a leading real estate investment company in Guangxi, China. Prior to joining the firm, David served in-house for a global banking institution resolving corporate employment and immigration issues.
David holds an LLB from Wuhan University where he graduated magna cum laude, and a Juris Doctorate from the University at Buffalo. David is admitted to practice in the state of New York and New Jersey and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
